Who we are
The Dahlia School is a nonprofit Spanish-immersion Montessori program in Mission Bay, serving early childhood with equity-based, hands-on education that nurtures independence, curiosity, community, and a love of learning. As an equitable nonprofit school, The Dahlia School does not charge an admission application fee. However, families are welcome to make a voluntary donation of any amount if they wish to do so.
Our Comunidad Infantil (18–36 months) is a calm, nurturing space where little ones begin to explore independence and joy in learning. With gentle guidance, toddlers practice everyday skills like preparing snacks, caring for themselves, and helping in their classroom community. Language, movement, and hands-on activities, encourage, independence, curiosity and self-confidence. As children grow, they build strong friendships and a love of school that prepares them for the next stage of their Montessori journey.
Our Casa de Niños (ages 3–6) is a joyful place where children grow into confident, curious, and creative learners. With the support of caring, certified Montessori guides, they explore math, language, sensorial, and practical life through hands-on lessons. Every day, children practice independence, teamwork, and care for themselves and their community. It’s a nurturing environment where learning feels natural, and childhood is celebrated.
Across all programs, children develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of discovery.
